Gift of Music
From its inception to now, the Gift of Music has placed over 450 instruments into the hands of young learners.
If you are interested in donating an instrument or making a donation, please contact:
Jim Rhodes: 952-933-1325 or email
We will be happy to pick up any instrument, get it in playing condition and give it to a deserving youngster!
The Gift of Music is the brainchild of Jim Rhodes, saxophone player and band president.
Jim developed this program becase he wanted all children to experience the joy of making music. Gift of Music gives musical instruments and lessons to children who are financially unable.
It is scientifically proven that being a musician enhances students' learning abilities. Music participation also is a great outlet for artistic expression and is a highly satisfying hobby.
Jim announces this program at each of our concerts. He encourages people to donate unused instruments. He also encourages individuals and businesses to donate funds for repair of donated instruments.
